Help unheard climate stories reach further

partners and contributors

Common Truths Radio is built through collaboration. We work with broadcasters, community organisations, artists, environmental groups, educators and people with lived experience to find stories, shape episodes, create events and help the work reach wider audiences. Some organisations are formal project partners, while others have supported the project through stories, conversations, research, networks or public events.

We are always interested in hearing from people and organisations who want to help these stories travel further. If you would like to work with us, share a story, host an event or connect us with a community, please get in touch.

Our Journey So Far

Series 1

Common Truths Radio began in 2021 with a first Arts Council England funded series exploring true-life stories of climate change from around the world. The series brought together music, narration, interview and documentary storytelling, with episodes shaped by real experiences of flooding, fire, drought, displacement, food insecurity and environmental change.

Series 2

A second Arts Council England funded series followed in 2024, expanding the project’s reach and ambition. Across the first two series, Common Truths Radio has shared stories connected to wildfires in Australia, drought in Kenya, a child’s experience in Colombia, hurricanes in Canada and many other human accounts of a changing climate. The project has also drawn on interviews, research and conversations with global organisations and projects including the Women’s Environmental Network, WaterAid and the Climate Disaster Project.

Series 3

Both series were broadcast on Black Country Radio and made available as podcasts, reaching large public audiences while keeping the focus on personal testimony, original music and the human reality of climate change. The new series builds on that work, with more stories, more artists, more community involvement and a stronger platform for voices that are too often unheard.
